As soon as I heard that a movie was being made about Harold And The Purple Crayon I’m pretty sure I squealed. Now, I have to admit I haven’t watched it yet, but it is one of my all time favorite children’s books. It celebrates a child’s imagination, uses extensive vocabulary, and is full of adventure.
This week we read these four books during our story times and the children were not surprisingly, smitten with Harold.
Please enjoy some of our fun!
Did you catch the puns at the end? I love that Crockett Johnson threw a little something in for the adults reading to the children too!
I debated reading this one to my students because circuses are not a thing in most preschoolers world. But as you can see from this video, this book may be the favorite!
We just recently began our school year. Having an alphabet book worked perfectly in my lesson plan!
Did you love these as much as I do?
